May 2026 Report

Summer Discipleship and New Outreach Beginnings

Allow me to share the Lord’s works throughout the month of May.

I recently concluded a ministry trip to Mindanao, visiting three communities in Maguindanao and South Cotabato to distribute school supplies and encourage our partners in partnership with HEMMI Medical.
We also are excited to processed two new church planters—one in Sto. Niño, Cagayan, and another beginning a new work in Camarin, Caloocan.
Across our outreaches in the Cagayan Region, Pangasinan, Rizal, Real Quezon over 1,000 school supply packs have now been distributed, and the Malapad church successfully.
We also praise God for a fruitful Youth Camp in Ilocos, where 31 youth delegates from three of our outreaches traveled to attend. The impact has been evident—many returned home with renewed passion, actively serving in their ministries and faithfully joining their discipleship meetings. Their growth has been a great encouragement to their leaders and communities.
Our three Bible school scholars in Malapad are now entering their final year, prayerfully set to graduate in 2027. Meanwhile, preparations for baptism are underway in Claveria (Cagayan), Pandi (Bulacan), and Macabud (Rizal) as individuals take steps of obedience and publicly declare their faith in Christ. Praise the LORD!

Looking ahead, we rejoice that this June we will be opening a new outreach among the Teduray tribe in Bantek, Upi, Maguindanao, expanding the reach of the Gospel to another underserved community. Through every open door, every challenge, and every life touched, we give all glory to God.

God continues to move powerfully across our ministries. In our Jail Ministry, we are witnessing how His grace reaches even behind bars. Inmates are responding to the Gospel with renewed hope, sharing testimonies of changed lives, and joining regular Bible studies as they grow in their faith. It is a reminder that Christ brings true freedom no matter the circumstance.

We also praise the Lord for the youth who attended the recent Youth Camp. The days spent in worship, fellowship, and the study of God’s Word left a deep impact. Since returning home, many of these young people have shown renewed passion—actively serving in their local ministries and faithfully joining their discipleship groups. Their enthusiasm is encouraging both their peers and their leaders.

After completing our Vacation Bible School, in San Juan, we were advised to pause family and children's visits due to opposition from a local religious leader and concerns about access to the community’s only water source, though another elder continues to affirm the value of teaching God’s Word. Even so, the Lord is at work—an entire family whose child attended our lessons is now joining our Sunday worship. In Cafin, the ministry remains peaceful and steady; the host family, despite welcoming a new baby, continues to joyfully open their home and assures us we are welcome to keep teaching. Through both challenges and open doors, the ministry continues by God’s grace. We ask that you continue to pray for us.

Sta Elena, Apayao

The newly baptized youth of Sta. Elena were blessed with the opportunity to attend the Ilocos Camp, where this year’s theme, “Understanding the Will of God,” deeply encouraged and strengthened their faith. Pastor Josh also led a weeklong Daily Vacation Bible School, joyfully ministering to more than 30 children through Bible lessons, songs, and activities that pointed them to Christ. In addition, the church held a meaningful Mother’s Day celebration, where an overwhelming number of new mothers came to join the fellowship—an encouraging sign of growing connections with families in the community.

Praise God for His wonderful work in our community! We are grateful to see how His Word continues to transform lives. Our Saturday Bible Study has been a great blessing as both adults and young people gather together and grow in their faith. We are especially joyful to share that six of our young people are now ready to make a public declaration of their faith through baptism this June. Thank you for your prayers and support—God is truly at work. All glory to Him!

Our first Reading Camp for Grades 1–3 was held on May 27–29, serving 15 children who underwent reading assessments to identify those needing focused support. Five students per grade level joined the program, and all completed it with noticeable improvement in their reading skills. We are grateful for our youth disciples who helped teach and assist throughout the camp. On May 30, we celebrated the Reading Camp Graduation, where the children received school supplies from Agape Ministry, and their parents were blessed with rice, canned goods, and noodles from our generous sponsors.

Sta. Praxedes, Cagayan

May was a fruitful month of ministry, highlighted by our weekly DVBS events across different locations, including 32 children participating in Santa Praxedes. We also praise God for the eight delegates who joined the Summer Camp in Ilocos, a memorable time of learning and fellowship. A special milestone this month was the author’s graduation from Berean Baptist Theological College after four years of study—a moment of deep gratitude for everyone who supported and prayed throughout the journey. All glory to God for His faithfulness.

Celebrating 5 Years of God’s Goodness

Christ Centered Baptist Church Mushroom celebrated its 5th Anniversary, a testimony of God’s sustaining grace and the steadfast faith of the brethren. During the celebration, families received rice gifts made possible through AGAPE’s support. This simple yet meaningful provision brought joy and relief to many households.

We are grateful for every prayer, every gift, and every act of love extended to this mission field. Your partnership allows us to continue reaching children and families with the love of Christ. May the Lord bless you abundantly as you share in the work of the Gospel. Pastor Idol Dela Pena

Macabud, Rodriguez Rizal

This month, we were blessed to hold a Ladies’ Bible Study at the home of one of the parents of our active children’s ministry kids. The mothers have also begun inviting other parents to join, giving us a wonderful opportunity to share the Gospel. By God’s grace, they received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and we continue to pray for their spiritual growth.

We are deeply grateful for the school supplies provided by Agape Ministry. The parents and children were overjoyed upon receiving them. Many parents expressed how much this helps their families, especially since they no longer need to worry about buying school supplies for the new school year. We were also able to share additional supplies with children from our other outreaches in Catmon and with active kids who attend our Sunday services.
