About Us
The AMCI is a Christian Ministry born out of a prayer movement by some high school students in St Joseph’s College Ombaci, Arua, Uganda in 1991. These young men, fresh from personal experiences of salvation and astounding encounters of the Holy Spirit’s anointing and revelation had a deep seated desire to see the same in the lives of the multitudes that God would sooner or later enable then to interact with.
To this end, they utilized whatever time and resources the Lord availed to them to preach the word of God and to pray in such a manner that had not been seen in the land in ages. Soon they began to see a revival fire spreading to other neighboring high schools, churches and homes. Holiday time was spent preaching the word of God in churches, hospitals, homes and other public places as the Lord led. The impact was immediate – there was such a mighty awakening in the body of Christ as people believed and acted upon the Word of God. Miracles of salvation, healing, resurrection from the dead and deliverance from the myriad of demonic oppressions and possessions were the order of the days. There were various kinds of Holy Spirit birthed abilities endowed upon young men and women who ministered the grace of God with all boldness. There was no way to contain this, we just let God do what He wanted to do.
Originally focusing on the West Nile region of Uganda, the impact of the ministry began to spread into other parts of the country as members joined higher institutions and colleges and continued doing what God had started them in. Prayer was a key hallmark of the ministry members wherever they went. We have seen a unique God directed model unleashed before our very eyes. Kids doing such great work of ministry have been able to complete the various colleges and universities with many completing their masters studies as well as others pursuing or set to pursue their doctorate degrees yet deeply involved in doing the work of God. Many of those who have completed their studies are gainfully employed and have continued to be used by God to fund ministry activities. It’s indeed amazing to see how God decided to take us all the way through in all areas of our lives.
In recent times we have seen greater doors open for a global ministry. Our members have had preaching opportunities in other nations where the Lord has led them into – USA, Japan, Denmark, Sudan, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania e.t.c. – with such outpouring of the grace of God manifested. We took God’s Word from the beginning, run along with it through the years and we are coming right where you are as the Lord leads. He is able.

Vision Statement
Impacting people, churches and nations with the love and power of God
Purpose
The purpose of Agape Ministries for Christ is to “Glorify God as we do His will”. As a ministry, we seek to achieve this within the framework of the Great Commission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Mat. 28:16-20) through:
- Running Christian Evangelistic Programs
- Establishing Agape Christian Fellowship Churches as the Lord leads
- Providing assistance where necessary through establishment of appropriate projects
- Developing Christian Leadership at all levels
- Acquiring property, real and personal, necessary or convenient, to be used for the furtherance of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ
Pillars
From the outset of Agape Ministry for Christ International, five pillars were established as the biblical priorities for this ministry.
- A firm belief in the power of prayer (James 5:16; Jeremiah 33:3)
- To preach the authority of God’s Word without apology. (Hebrews 4:12; II Timothy 4:1-5)
- To share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with boldness and work toward reproducing disciples. (Romans 1:16; Matthew 9:36-38)
- To lift high the name of Jesus Christ in worship. (John 12:32; 4:23, 24)
- To demonstrate the love of Christ among the church (1 Corinthians 13)
Statement of Faith
- We believe in the Scriptures of the Old Testament and New Testament as verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writing
- We believe in the only one true God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
- We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ Who was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is truly God and truly Man, one Person with two natures, divine and human
- We believe the Lord Jesus Christ died as a substitution sacrifice for the sins of all men according to the Scriptures, and all who receive Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood
- We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ during this age. He convicts men of sin, righteousness and judgment and regenerates the sinner upon believing on Christ, baptizing the believer into one body of which Christ is the head. He indwells, guides, instructs, fills, comforts, and empowers the believer for godly living and service through individually bestowed spiritual gifts
- We believe that man was created in innocence under the law of his Maker, but by voluntary transgression fell from his sinless and happy state in consequence of which all mankind are now sinners; not only by constraint, but by choice and therefore under just condemnation without defense or excuse. Therefore every man needs a Savior
- Upon accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, all believers have therefore become part of His body, the church. There is one church universal, composed of all those who acknowledge Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
